Installation and Introduction to CACP 2009

Software Installation and Introduction. Instructions on getting started with the software and an overview to high level functions in CACP 2009.

The CACP 2009 Software is Windows-based. CACP 2009 is compatible with all Windows operating systems up to and including Windows 7. It is recommended that you have at least 20 megabytes of free hard disk space before installing, and for best results it should be run on a computer with a Pentium processor with at least 32 megabytes of RAM. ICLEI strongly recommends having only one active copy of CACP 2009 for your local government to avoid possible loss of backups during data transfer.

Apple users can run CACP 2009 using Boot Camp if they are running the Leopard operating system (Mac OS X v10.5). See http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/ for installation instructions and more information. Apple users with operating systems other than Leopard can install CACP 2009 using an emulator program such as Virtual PC to replicate a Windows environment.
