Asheville, N.C., saves 525 tons of CO2 per year with biofuels

In Asheville, N.C., city vehicles as well as partner agencies have switched to biodiesel and ethanol blends.
The Benefits
Based on a calculation from ICLEI’s CACP software, the City’s use of the new fuels will result in a 7.2 percent reduction in carbon dioxide emissions. The change is projected to achieve an annual reduction of 525 tons in carbon dioxide emissions.
