Local Government Adaptation Planning and Processes: Lessons Learned from Miami-Dade County
Join us for a webinar featuring Harvey Ruvin, Chair, Miami-Dade Climate Change Advisory Task Force
Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, noon-1 p.m. Eastern
The science behind climate change and its implications for our southeastern coasts are clear. While mitigating the emissions responsible for climate change is key to solving the climate crisis, coastal communities must be prepared to adapt to the changing conditions that will ultimately be unavoidable. It is more important than ever for local communities to be informed and engaged on coastal climate preparedness.
Please join Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE) and ICLEI-Local Governments for
Sustainability USA on February 25th for our second webinar in our monthly webinar series focused on all issues surrounding coastal climate adaptation in the Southeast U.S.
Our guest speaker, Harvey Ruvin is the Clerk of Courts for Miami-Dade County as well as the
Chair of the County’s Climate Change Advisory Task Force missioned to advise the County

governments can begin to take action to prepare their coastal communities for climate change. He will be available for questions and an open discussion following his presentation.
Space is limited to 100 participants.
