DOE Publishes Plug-In Electric Vehicle Handbook for Fleet Managers

EPA
June 25, 2012

The U.S. Department of Energy's Clean Cities Program has produced the Plug-In Electric Vehicle Handbook (PDF, 20 pages, 2 megabytes) to provide fleet managers with information on plug-in vehicles, their maintenance, safety, emissions, charging equipment, and other topics. The handbook covers technology basics for plug-in electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, benefits, purchasing considerations, tips on maintenance, charging equipment, and more.
State and local officials may want to consider plug-in electric vehicles for their fleets to demonstrate environmental leadership, reduce operating costs and emissions, and comply with fleet requirements.
