Senior Outreach Officer - Oakland, CA

Susan Ode has 20 years of experience working on energy and climate issues and citizen participation. Susan is the Senior Outreach Officer for ICLEI and the Cities for Climate Protection Campaign in the US. In this capacity, she is responsible for developing and implementing the US Outreach program. Susan is responsible for recruiting local governments to ICLEI and for developing outreach and public education programs and training sessions. Susan came to ICLEI from the City of Saint Paul where she worked with the City Council, Mayor, City Departments and citizens to fight global warming. Susan has served on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Local Government Advisory Committee and as Chair of the City of Berkeley Energy Commission. Susan holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Macalester College with additional training and experience in technical design and energy auditing.
