Senior Program Officer - Seattle, Wash.

As a Senior Program Officer based out of the Pacific Northwest Regional Office in Seattle, Wash., Micah contributes to a broad array of national programs and projects, including the development of emission inventory standards and working with individual local governments on emission inventory reports and climate action plans. He has co-led the development of the Climate and Air Pollution Planning Assistant (CAPPA), a decision support tool for developing climate action plans. Micah is also a subject matter expert in water, wastewater, and waste—areas in which he is working to expand ICLEI’s member support. In his previous role with ICLEI, Micah provided technical support to ICLEI members in California and the Western States Region.

Prior to joining ICLEI in April 2007, Micah worked as a researcher on international and domestic water and wastewater services access. Micah has also worked as a policy analyst, consultant, and researcher on a broad array of sustainability issues in Latin America, the Mediterranean, Africa, and the United States. Micah has a master’s degree in Energy and Resources from the University of California, Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Colorado College.
