Alden Feldon

Alden FeldonRegional Projects Manager - Oakland, CA

Richard “Alden” Feldon joined ICLEI as Regional Projects Manager in April of 2008 and supports governments throughout California. In his project management role, Alden helps ICLEI staff and members establish greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets, execute emission inventories, create climate action plans, and implement those plans in our global effort to develop more sustainable and secure economies and healthier communities.

 Alden brings to ICLEI two decades of expertise in marketing, marketing research and psychology and began working on environmental causes in the 1980s. Most recently, Alden co-authored Sonoma County California’s Community Climate Action Plan as Project Manager for the Climate Protection Campaign.

 Alden graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A in Philosophy and received a M.A. in Counseling Psychology for Pacifica Graduate Institute. In addition, he has an eclectic mix of skills stemming from professional experience as a life coach, musician, poet, general contractor, and chef in Paris, France.
